LOOK INSIDE THE DESIGNER’S HOME FOR A GLIMPSE OF A FEW OF HER FAVORITE THINGS: PART II

Here we are continuing our tour of the designer’s home and a look in at a few of her favorite things. There are, of course, many more beautiful Blue and White pieces and antiques on display throughout the home, like these seen here in the living room.

In addition to the collection of antique teapots and platters are two Staffordshire Cats and a bronze cross. Becky’s faith is another very important aspect of her life.

Here is a cross made of pottery in Becky’s favorite color – Turquoise.

Look at the beautiful antique mirror with the turquoise finish and a favorite lamp.

Shells, another of the designer’s favorites, are displayed in her home in an antique glass battery box. Becky has found other creative uses for shells in her home, like the soap dish in the powder room.

This brings us to another of the designer’s favorites – Animal Print.

See the leopard print accents in the living room. Also, notice the beautiful needlepoint floral fabric on the chair next to the fireplace.

Becky’s love of Blue and White is carried into the kitchen.

And into the dining room too.

We hope you’ve enjoyed your tour of the designer’s home and some of her favorite things.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

LOOK INSIDE THE DESIGNER’S HOME FOR A GLIMPSE OF A FEW OF HER FAVORITE THINGS: PART I

This holiday season we were inspired by the song, My Favorite Things. We wanted to share a peek into the designer’s home so you can enjoy a few of her favorite things too.

Anyone who knows Becky Berg is aware of her love for all things Blue and White. It can be seen throughout all areas of her home, from pottery to fabrics to the color on the walls…well just take a look and see for yourself.

In this photograph alone you can see a number of things that are dear to the designer. Of course, the presence of Blue and White, but also on display are antiques, many of which belonged to her mother. You can also see flowers throughout the home, like the dried hydrangeas on the mantle here.

The clock is an antique from Bristol, Connecticut and the sterling silver dressing table items belonged to her mother. All of Becky’s pieces carry a special meaning to her and her family.

Including this framed embroidery piece created by her grandmother.

Here you can see the designer’s love of beautiful fabrics. The chair is upholstered in fabric by Brunschwig and Fils and on the wall are illustrations from their original collection. Family photographs in a sterling silver frames are proudly displayed on the side table alongside flowers and a beautiful Blue and White lamp.

The designer’s creative spirit is present everywhere in her home. Here she re-designed her master suite with a bit of European flair. In order to increase the space available within the master bath she expanded the vanity into the bedroom. Behind the swinging mirrors are the home’s original windows, which are still accessible.

The architecture in the master bath is highlighted by the unique light fixture that creates a focal point in the room.

Displayed in her home is one of the designer’s favorite books – A Passion for Blue & White, by Carolyne  Roehm.

A look at the lovely Blue and White fabrics and prints in the family room.

Check back with us soon for another look at a few of the designer’s favorite things.

From all of us at Becky Berg Design have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
