Custom cabinets painted in wonderful French green, copper accents, stone splashes and wood floors create the warmth of old finishes mingled together. An “armoire” cabinet conceals refrigeration and pantry for the family of four. The copper pulls and knobs are available from a local Kansas City artist and put on the finishing touches.

All the new amenities are surrounded by the rustic charm of the hammered copper sink with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures set into stone and granite surfaces. Reclaimed wood on the fireplace mantel and the pine corbels accenting the copper cook top hood continue the scheme. The new mantel balances the over-scaled brick face of the owners' existing fireplace.
